An 12-hour-long work by Funsch Dance that challenges the glorification of acquisition and excess. Features an original musical score and an installation of found-object musical instruments that is played and dismantled over the duration of the performance.
EPOCH
Funch Dance Experience’s extended-length work, EPOCH, subverts conventional performance models by pushing the limits of duration. EPOCH unfolds over 12 hours, in a gratuitous surplus of movement, interrupted by moments of nothingness, to challenge the value of acquisition and excess. The performance features an original score by Cheryl E. Leonard and lighting design by Danielle Ferguson.
